The 2007 Presidential $1 Coins were the first year in a new series of coins by the United States Mint struck to honor the former Presidents of the United State


These uncirculating coins, with a face value of $1, each feature the portrait of a former President on their obverse. Four coins are released annually under the series honoring the Presidents in the order upon which they served in office. As such, the inaugural strike of the series was the John Adams Presidential $1 Coin honoring the Second President of the United States.
John Adams Presidential $1 Coin – honoring the Second President of the United States who served from March 4, 1797 – March 4, 1801 , the Mint released this strike into circulation on February 15, 2007.
